Two of the most alluring and spectacular cultural cities of Russia, this twin-centre adventure to Moscow and St Petersburg offers the opportunity to explore some of the best examples of Russian imperial treasure houses with  expertly guided visits.

This wonderful holiday allows plenty of free time to discover each of these intriguing destinations at your own pace. We include a daytime journey on the new high-speed Sapsan train that whisks you from Moscow to St Petersburg in a little over four hours.

Russia-Moscow   Moscow

Moscow is the thriving heart of business, with fabulous architecture reflecting Stalin’s influences, alongside historical churches. It offers designer shopping, leafy parks, great restaurants and a wealth of art and culture. Attractions in Moscow include the famous Red Square, the Kremlin and the colourful, ornate domes of St Basil’s Cathedral.


  St Petersburg

St Petersburg is a calm and serene contrast. Peter the Great’s ‘Window on the West’ displays classic Italian architecture and canals, reflecting some of Europe’s finest cities. Here you will find the world renowned Hermitage Museum in the impressive Winter Palace, St Isaac’s Cathedral and the opulent Peterhof Palace.

Day 1 (Saturday)

On arrival in Moscow, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
Evening at leisure.

Day 2 (Sunday)

After breakfast, enjoy a day (10h00 - 16h00) orientation tour of the city, starting
with some of the spectacular underground Metro stations in Moscow, known as the
‘Palaces of the People’ then by coach to see some of the famous landmarks.
No entrances included. Evening at leisure.

Day 3 (Monday)

Free time to explore independently.

Day 4 (Tuesday)

Check-out at your leisure before 12h00, then free time until early afternoon departure
transfer from the hotel to the railway station to board the high speed Sapsan train
service to St Peterbsurg. Local transfer and check in to the Hotel. Evening at leisure.

Day 5 (Wednesday)

After breakfast, enjoy a panoramic orientation tour of the city, seeing all the major sights, including the Winter Palace. We include a visit to Peter and Paul Fortress. Rest of afternoon and evening at leisure.

Days 6 & 7 (Thursday & Friday)

Free time to explore independently, perhaps enjoying a ballet performance

Day 8 (Saturday)

After breakfast, check out by 12h00. Your departure transfer to the airport will be provided
according to the time of your return flight to London.
