A relaxing day at sea brings you to the coast of Norway at its loveliest in the extended daylight of midsummer. First stop is the scenic port of Bergen, gateway to Fjordland. You will cruise deep into the heart of Norway meandering through the beautiful Fjords and on to the wild and rugged Lofoten Islands before you reach the top of the world at Honningsvaag and the North Cape where hopefully you will have the chance to view the midnight sun. Next it’s vibrant Tromso, Andalsnes in Romsdalfjord and then Flam, your final port of call on this wonderful Nordic voyage of discovery.

BERGEN (Norway) 
Day 3 Arr 0700hrs Dep 1700hrs, stay 10hrs.
The second city of Norway and this delightful old Hanseatic port, with its beautifully restored wooden warehouses, colourful fish and flower market makes a perfect contrast with the high peaks and waterfalls and small village communities of the fjords.

HELLESYLT (Sunnylvsfjord, Norway) 
Day 4 Arr 0830hrs Dep 0930hrs, stay 1hrs.
Standing at the head of the Sunnylvsfjord, a branch of the mighty Storfjord, the old Viking village of Hellesylt is a scenic starting point for a magnificent full day overland tour via Stryn, Tystigen and Mount Dalsnibba to Geiranger, where participants rejoin the ship.

GEIRANGER (Geirangerfjord, Norway) 
Day 4 Arr 1100hrs Dep 1800hrs, stay 7hrs.
This pretty village nestles at the tip of perhaps Norway’s most photographed, if not most renowned, fjord. The voyage along the fjord passing such famous waterfalls as De Syv Søstre (The Seven Sisters) is spectacular whilst Geiranger has a charm all of its own.

GRAVDAL (Lofoten Isles, Norway) 
Day 6 Arr 0800hrs Dep 1700hrs, stay 9hrs.
The wild and rugged Lofoten Islands that rise up out of the Arctic Ocean provide a stunningly beautiful backdrop to your stay in the small town of Gravdal, which is an excellent base from which to explore the Viking heritage or spectacular landscape of Vestvagøy and the neighbouring islands that make up the group.

HONNINGSVAAG (for North Cape, Norway) 
Day 7 Arr 1800hrs Dep 2200hrs, stay 4hrs.
Visiting the North Cape, virtually Europe’s northernmost point, and standing in broad daylight at midnight looking out over the Arctic Ocean is one of the world’s memorable experiences. If you are lucky enough to see the Midnight Sun, it could be unforgettable.

TROMSO (Norway) 
Day 8 Arr 1300hrs Dep 1800hrs, stay 5hrs.
Standing on an island in a narrow sound, hemmed in by soaring mountains, Tromso is ‘The capital of the Arctic’ offering a majestic setting with fascinating museums dedicated to geology, zoology and Lappland life. For a birds’ eye view take a cable car ride to Storteinen.

ANDALSNES (Romsdalfjord, Norway) 
Day 10 Arr 1000hrs Dep 1500hrs, stay 5hrs.
Set deep inland at the head of the picturesque Romdalsfjord, Andalsnes can offer the salmon-rich Rauma River and spectacular sights such as the Trollveggen, a vertical mountain side dropping 6,000 feet and the Trollstigen road, a classic driving experience of 11 hairpin bends amidst wonderful scenery.

VIK (Norway) 
Day 11 Arr 0730hrs Dep 0900hrs, stay 1.5hrs.
From its picturesque waterfront to its superb location in the heart of the world's longest fjord, Sognefjord, Vik is the classic Fjordland port of call lying on the southern side of this mighty fjord. Vik is the disembarkation point for passengers wishing to take the optional overland tour to surrounding lakes, mountains and glaciers before rejoining Athena in Flam.

FLAM (Norway) 
Day 11 Arr 1200hrs Dep 1900hrs, stay 7hrs.
Situated at the head of the Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the mighty Sogne, Flam nestles between high cliffs streaked with waterfalls and is the terminus of the Flåmsbanen the amazing railway line that travels just 12 miles to Myrdal through stunning scenery and a gradient of 1 in 18! Our optional Flam Railway tour is a must.
